Folk Tale Reboot

This project is an exploration of reimagining the infamous Russian folktale "At the Pike's Behest" in the form of a TV-14 comedy. Research taps into the origins of the folk tale by looking into existing interpretations in books and media, as well as the time period the story takes place in. The reimagined character designs not only change their appearance (giving the pike a human form), but also incorporate textures that give them an organic look and feel, taking the process from sketchbook line work to colorful illustrations.
